The Fiat 124 Spider has now transformed the streets of Milan into an exclusive automotive catwalk. The timeless silhouette of the Spider was on display several times at the “Salone del Mobile Milano”, a furniture fair as part of the design week in Milan.
The parade of magnificent two-seaters delighted passersby. I was there in Italy.

The automobiles were displayed from the charming Brera district and the lively Via Tortona to the cosmopolitan Piazzale Cadorna and the historic Porta Garibaldi.

Milan is an ideal city for the Fiat 124 Spider, which has retained the classic beauty of its 1966 predecessor – and now embodies it in a modern design.

The new version came in 2016 and is available – depending on the market – in two equipment levels (124 Spider and 124 Spider Lusso), two special series (America and Europe), one engine version (140 hp 1.4 Turbo MultiAir) and two 6-speed transmission variants (automatic and manual).
