The SWR Bestseller List has been recommending ten books worth reading every month for more than 40 years. The order is not determined by sales figures, but by an independent jury of 30 well-known literary critics.

They each select four new publications that they hope will reach as many readers as possible.

Second place on the SWR bestseller list for February is the novel “Today is in the middle of the night” by Kerstin Preiwuß.

Currently in third place is “The Observer’s Dream” by Wilhelm Genazino.
