Lignano Sabbiadoro – US Cars on the Beach

Lignano Sabbiadoro - US Cars on the Beach

Last weekend the third edition of the popular US Cars on the Beach took place in Lignano Sabbiadoro.

This event, which has become one of the largest gatherings of American cars in Italy once again accompanied the Italian Bike Week and became a must-attend event for all fans of engines as well as two and four wheels.

Despite unpredictable weather, the event offered an impressive show for visitors. This year there were some innovations.

The traditional parade of American vehicles, which usually took place on Sunday, was brought forward to Saturday morning to allow for the Lignano Air Show, which was crowned by the Frecce Tricolori.

Over 150 vehicles, including numerous participants from Austria, Germany, Slovenia and Croatia, caused excitement with their roaring V8 engines.

Highlights included a 1996 Viper GTS with an impressive 8.000 cc V10 engine and a 1966 Cobra Mk III, which is considered the “spiritual ancestor” of Dodge sports cars.

A rare Edsel Pacer from the late 1950s also attracted attention, particularly known from the Italian film “La leggenda di Al, John e Jack”.

The Jeep Wrangler Polar from 2014, owned by a German, Christina Palik, was voted among the top 30 most beautiful US cars.

In addition to the cars, the pin-up contest, organized by Francesca "Lady BB" Vida, also attracted a lot of attention. The crown of "Miss Sunny Ely" went to Elisa Padovani from Codroipo, who won the competition.

The next US Cars on the Beach will take place from May 17 to 18, 2025 – and once again promises an unforgettable experience for lovers of American cars…
